Hi again!

Sorry, I've been getting some many requests for the newsletter that I
send out the most recent issue in group mailings. Since you requested
#1 as well, here it is. As you can see, this thing has grown in leaps
and bounds in less than a year. I was so happy to find so many other
fans.

Let me know if you have any questions. #4 should be out in mid-December.

--------------------
WELCOME to the first "on-line" issue of the Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon
On-Line Fan Club Newsletter! And welcome to the club! The idea for a fan
club started a while ago, when I wondered if there were enough people out
there who even remembered that the show existed. When I took a visit to
Lesley Hickman's web page, not only did I discover that people remembered the
show -- but that there were multitudes of fans who loved this show, even
though it's been (ulp!) over thirteen years since it first aired in 1983. Do
you remember where you were in 1983? (Now there's a good subject for next
month's newsletter....) Starting next issue, with everyone's permission, I'm
going to begin a member list inside the newsletter with everyone's E-mail
addresses (please be sure to indicate that you would like your name listed
when you send back your club registration form). If you have friends who
would like to become members, just drop me a quick E-Mail with their E-Mail
address, and I'll rush the most recent issue of the D&D On-Line Cartoon Fan
Club newsletter along with their own sign-up form.

I'd also love to hear your ideas on what you'd like to see in the newsletter.
Personally, I think an interview with co-creator Mark Evanier would be
perfect -- we could ask him everything from how he got the ideas for
characters to that ever-popular question of how did the kids finally get
home-- and what happened to them all once they got there? I'm also providing
each and every newsletter recipient with a copy of our first-ever poll. Here
is where you'll vote for your favorite character, your favorite episode, your
favorite writer, and E-Mail in your answer to the never resolved issue of how
the kids got back home. Just be sure you include the question number with
the full answer when you send your response, or I can't count your vote.
Also, I've added a section where we can brainstorm about a new series we'd
like to see -- anything you want, either with the same characters or
different ones. I look forward to reading them!

Well, I'll stop blabbing now. Please please please let me know what you
think of the newsletter, what you'd like to see in it, and what you don't
want to see in it. Either way, just write!

D&D New Cartoon Series"Meeting"

Okay, here's the story. It seems that everyone would love to see a new D&D
series for the 90s. The problem is, no one has been very specific or
particular about whether it should be an updated version of the old show with
the same characters, or a totally new show with new characters. So, your
mission, if you choose to accept it, is to tell us all about your vision for
the new D&D show. And one thing we ask is: if you're going to take them to
D&D land, please save all our sanities and tell us how you'd get them home
(even if it isn't for awhile)! Feel free to describe either new costumes or
(if you choose to) new characters in as much detail as you'd like, but be
warned-- it may have to be edited if it gets up to War and Peace length. Your
ideas will be featured in subsequent issues of the newsletter. Have fun!
(And yes, you can attach this document on the same E-Mail as the poll if you
want to).

entirety (or copy it and send it as a separate E-Mail) to:

			   SPECIAL BULLETIN!

Well, I've only just started this newsletter, and already, it's quite a lot
of work. And a fan club needs officers! So, what I'd like to do is post a
listing of offices in this club, and their associated duties. If you are
interested in helping out (and having your name on the top of the member list
with a title -- it doesn't get much better than that!), please E-Mail me.
There should be more than enough to go around. Also, every director of the
club will be working with me on the content and approval of each newsletter.
Thanks for your help in advance!

DIRECTOR of MEMBERSHIP: This person will be in charge of collecting new
member forms and keeping the Editor and DIRECTOR of OPERATIONS updated on new
members, as well as changes in old members' E-Mail addresses. This person
will also be in charge of composing the "welcome member" letter, as well as
come up with any other ideas on increasing membership. This person's E-Mail
address will become the official address to contact in regards to any
membership questions.

DIRECTOR of OPERATIONS: This person will be in charge of sending out the
completed E-Mail newsletter every month, after receiving it from the Editor,
and will be responsible for E-Mailing it to all members. This person will
also be in charge of E-mailing out the most recent issue of the E-Mail
newsletter to all new members. In addition, this person will be in charge of
maintaining and/or researching further online club services, such as the
possibility of a newsgroup or message board, and looking into ways to improve
the format of the newsletter.

DIRECTOR of WEB SERVICES: This person will be in charge of setting up a
Club's web page somewhere down the road and updating it each month with new
information. This person will also be responsible for the design and layout
of the page, as will work with the Editor on content of the page and any
interactive features of any future page, such as quizzes.

Interested? Then E-Mail me! I need all the help I can get -- especially on
the Web Services!

cartoon, let me know!) in the newsletter for everyone to enjoy. This is a
newsletter for and hopefully soon, BY the fans of the Dungeons and Dragons
cartoon show! If you're interested in submitting an article, essay, or
