Dungeons & Dragons Viewmaster Adventure!

Venger is up to his old tricks again, and it's up to TSR characters Stongheart (Good Paladin), Ringlerun (Good Wizard), Elkhorn (Dwarf Fighter), and Mercion (Good Cleric) to stop him!  But wait- who's that fighting alongside them...?  It's our gang!

Summary (verbatim from back of package, funny phrasing and all):

"StrongheartTM Good Paladin and his worthy band of adventurers climb craggy rocks to the castle stronghold of the evil VengerTM. Long has Venger held power in these mountains by terrorizing people throughout the kingdom. Monsters scurry to attack Strongheart's crew and defend Venger's cursed fortress.
Strongheart urges his troops over the walls of the castle.
Seeing humans advance upon his legions, Venger hisses, "I will summon a special servant," and an Earth ElementalTM ponderously rises from the courtyard. In turn, RinglerunTM Good Wizard conjures an Air ElementalTM. Defeated, the Earth Elemental falls; but the battling warriors, both good and evil, are overwhelmed by these elements. Venger casts a withering spell on a weakened Strongheart.
ElkhornTM Dwarf Fighter and the remainder of the the keep of Venger's castle. Fighting monsters all the way, they discover a secret treasure chest, and inside the chest, a glowing amulet - the source of Venger's power. Meanwhile MercionTM Good Cleric removes the spell from Strongheart.  The troops reunite in the courtyard where Venger summons his most powerful monster, TiamatTM. Breathing fire, Tiamat advances. Strongheart, wearing the amulet, poises his sword for battle. Then suddenly succumbing to Ringlerun'sTM magic, the massive Tiamat falters. Venger and his monster flee the land leaving Strongheart's crew victorious in the castle - the kingdom at last is at peace freed from the curse of "Castle Venger!"

OK, a few little comments:

(A6)  Storming the Battlements
Strongheart: "Uh, oh.  They have a big rock!  Kids, you go first."
Presto, Bobby, and Uni:  "You call those ladders?!  Forget it!  We're sitting out this dumb adventure."

(B2)  That is the dopiest Air Elemental I've ever seen.

(B2)   Eric....what's that funny thing in your hand?  Not an...offensive weapon...is it?!

(B3)  Evil Spell!
And Venger didn't just immediately zap everyone with this effective spell because.....????

(B4)  Eric: "Master!  Speak to me!"
Strongheart: "Master?!?  When the hell did I pick up an apprentice?"
          Dungeonmaster:  *grumble*

(B5)  Sheila:  "Fear my Little Hammer Of Dooooom!"

(B6)  The Fight Continues!
Fake Diana:  Obviously we're impostors.  Instead of kicking Umber Hulk Butt(TM), I'm hiding prettily here behind the blond guy whose arrows aren't even on fire.

(B7)  Oh, so Mercion does have a job other than to follow along looking decorative.

(C1)  The Treasure Chest
Venger: "Hmm...where shall I store the Source Of My Power
(TM)?  How about this chest, in the middle of on otherwise empty room on the ground floor just off the the main entrance, with monsters guarding it and a little sign saying "Source of My Power(TM), please do not steal?""

(C2)  Elkhorn discovers "Amulet Power"
The look on his face is just wrong.  Given the shape of the thing, were he a female character, I would crack a really tasteless joke right about now.

(C3)  Strongheart and Mercion rout the monsters.
Or rather, Strongheart routs the monsters, as Mercion once more adjusts her pose, billows her cape, and oggles Strongheart's buns of steel.

(C4)
Strongheart will use power of amulet.
Why Strongheart?  Why not the two party members with magical experience?  Or heck, perhaps give poor Sheila the Now Hammerless something to do (other than look decorative).

(C5) Venger summons Tiamat.   "Obey me,Tiamat!"
          Tiamat:  "No."     *MUNCH*

(C6)   Ringlerun quells Tiamat with magic.
Tiamat:  "I don't think so."      *MUNCH*

(C7) Flight of Evil!
There goes Evil!  ......Will he clear the wall without his horse, do you think?
Oh, and nice sword, Hank.  Think you might have pulled it out before now, maybe?

I hope everyone got as big a kick out of this little adventure as I did....
