Instead of a white eagle head on a black circle, Eric’s shield features the TSR company logo. Since they’re really homesick, the kids spend all their free time playing Top Secret. Characters from the Dragonlance novels start making cameo appearances. Venger spends his spare time browsing through old issues of Dungeon Magazine in an effort to construct the perfect “dream home”. Presto just happens to pull a set of polyhedral dice out of his hat on more than one occasion. Whenever he can’t think of a riddle to cover a given situation, Dungeonmaster quotes from the Dungeonmaster’s Guide instead (and hopes for the best). When trying to explain to the German pilot how World War II ends, the kids use Europe Aflame as a prop. In an effort to figure out which creatures in the Realm are edible, the kids consult the Monster Manual. TSR decides to use the characters in a low-quality (to say the least) promotional comic.
