Presto, the Magician
Presto was supposed to be the big nerd of the
group. But
I think he's my favorite character, and the cutest
of the guys. He's endearing and clumsy, like a puppy with big feet and
a bigger heart. He simply needs a good dose of confidence, something
his punnish
hat did little to bolster. His hat is potentially the best and most
powerful of
the six, though it was very unpredictable. (Whoever gave him the
idea that spells had to be in verse, anyway?)
But even when he pulls out something as ridiculous as a toy tank (to
fight off Venger!) his quirky
hat usually saves the day-- in the most humorous fashion possible.
Presto's biggest fear is being powerless. (I know, the Lost Tower
only took his glasses away, but give me the benefit of the doubt here!)
Given his weak physical strength, poor sight, and outwardly geeky
aspect, it's likely he got picked on quite a bit by bullies back on
Earth. Of all the kids, I believe Presto is the one who would be mostly
likely to decide to stay in the Realm. In the Realm, he has magical
protection and a gorgeous soulmate- what more could a nerd want?.
